BIO GRAZIANA PARISI AND DANIELE SEGALIN
Artists, masters, creatives and creators of the Finc Festival, promoters of theatrical culture.
Daniele Segalin and Graziana Parisi work and are constantly committed to the growth of the Theatre Degart Company based in the heart of Giardini Naxos, recognised by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Labour.
They are the founders and creators of the Finc Festival (Festival Interanzionale Nouveau Clown), known for their artistic work as Dandy Danno & Diva G.
They travelled the world, from Indonesia to Brazil, from Kazakhstan to Algeria. They worked in almost all artistic fields, theatre, circus and cinema.
For 8 years they managed a theatre in Liguria, taking care of the programming of shows throughout the year, as a duo they faced various artistic adventures, incessantly continuing to study and train artistically.
Below, they worked at the Circus, for example the famous Circo Florilegio (precursor of the Cirque du Soleil) of the new generation of the Togni family; they worked among the most prestigious Italian and foreign theatres, including the Rossini Theatre in Pesaro, the Lauro Rossi Theatre in Macerata, to name a few.
They have participated in prestigious festivals such as the Avignon Theatre Festival, in Brighton at the Off Festival, have been invited several times in Portugal to the Maia Comic Theatre International Festival in Porto, and recently to the Astana International Clown Festival.
For over twenty years they have been engaged in the world of live entertainment, they have developed a teaching focussed on the art of clowning and a philosophy of failure. The result of this educational and cultural research was the Finc Festival, an event of great international importance, completely innovative inserted in the Italian panorama of festivals of national interest of live entertainment, which has now gathered the enthusiasm of thousands of spectators and participants.
Today they collaborate with famous artists and masters of entertainment, theatre, circus and cinema, from Nanni Moretti (see Daniele's recent participation in his latest film: Il Sol dell'Avvenire) to Eugenio Barba and Julia Varley, (Theatre Degart is the itinerant headquarters of the Barba-Varley Foundation), Jango Edwards (comedian and first director of the duo, recently deceased) Avner Eisenmberg, Nola Rae, Jacopo and Mattea Fo (with the Dario Fo and Franca Rame Foundation), Christian Dalla Chiara, David Larible, the Fam. Togni and Canestrelli, Antonio Giarola, David Shiner (Cirque du Soleil), Oscar Vidal and many others.
Their educational mission and artistic efforts did not stop at the creation of the festival, which from 2025 will also be exported abroad with the FINC ON TOUR format, but they also materialise in their theatre school that today deals with the formation and dissemination of the theatrical culture of the young generations and beyond, from 5 years to over 65.
In fact, Daniele and Graziana teach systematically through workshops and workshops, spread countless notions about the art of comedy and clowns, the art of acting and improvisation. The purpose of this educational commitment is to educate the next generation of theatre buffs and spectators by bringing the theatre back to the centre, as cultural and social growth.
